I am trying to find out if there is something I did wrong and that these two do coexist -or- if they cannot coexist. I would have thought that the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable would not have touched ACE 12 and would have installed ACEġ3 so that both could co-exist. I do not understand why Access 2007 is clobering the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable. It appears that the mini-reinstall overwrites ACE 12 (2010) with its version, ACE 12 (2007). Now when I attempt to open the database using VB.NET and ACE 12, I again get the error. Products Ending Support for 2020 - Microsoft Lifecycle. The snafu happens when I run Access 2007 again. Windows updates fail for Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (KB2460011) over and over again and i dont have office 2010. Windows Operating System: Windows 7/8/8.1/10. Mainly, it works adequately with the simultaneous Microsoft components: MS Access Database: MS Access 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and MS Access 2019. All is good so far. As long as I do not run Access 2007, the error is corrected. This Access repair and recovery tool does not associate with any compatibility issue. I then install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable and ACE 12 is updated. I can now read/write the Access 2010 db using VB.NET and ACE 12. When I attempt to open the database using VB.NET and ACE 12 (that was installed with Office 2007) I get the error. Let's assume that the Access 2010 database is using features that are not available in Access 2007. Thank you for your reply but it doesn't fully address my question.
